In 2012, ten Cornell residents joined together to form the Cornell Community Garden Committee. Their goal was to establish a productive and fun garden for all interested members of Cornell: individuals, families, students, seniors and special populations. With the support of the City of Markham, Markham Public Library, local business and many volunteers, the garden opened for a pilot year in 2014.

Our vision is to:
  • Provide garden members with fresh produce that is local, organic and chemical free
  • Provide opportunities to learn about gardening
  • Build diverse community and learn from one another
  • Create a space for the community to enjoy.

We welcome individuals, families, students and other groups from the Cornell neighbourhood to get involved.

  • Become a member
  • Volunteer
  • Attend events
  • Enjoy the space
  • Stop by for a chat
  • Sample produce from the area outside the fence
  • Make a donation
